S'PORT UP!  Support High School Sports!
 

Overview
     At the end of the six-week “S’port Up! to Support High School Sports!” promotion, sponsored by KTA Super Stores, Hawaiian Airlines and Sports Line,  shoppers at KTA Super Stores and Waikoloa Village Market helped Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) Athletics earn money just by shopping.
     The program encouraged shoppers to purchase products from participating sponsors, to earn points for their favorite high schools.  Based on the number of points earned, a total of $50,000 will be distributed among the participating schools.  Half of the money earned will go toward sporting equipment and the other half will go toward inter-island travel.  

     “With fewer choices for inter-island airlines, this program becomes that much more valuable for high school athletic departments needing funds to travel to the outer islands,” said Ken Yamase, Executive Director of the BIIF.

     “This was the second year of the S’port Up! program and as always, we received tremendous support from the community,” said Tracey Yamane, KTA Super Stores’ Marketing Manager.  “We proudly support each high school and are happy they can put their much-deserved money to good use.”
